 The project aims to increase the mosque's capacity, enhance safety, and improve overall circulation and crowd management, particularly during peak seasons such as Hajj, Eid, and Ramadan.

Demand Forecasting

Estimation of expected pilgrims demand to assess seasonal variations in pedestrian volumes.


Pedestrian Micro-Simulation Modelling

Development of detailed 3D micro-simulation models of the proposed design, modelling the horizontal and vertical circulation of visitors, testing and refining crowd management and operational plans, and modelling various seasonal variations to ensure the design met fluctuating crowd demands.


Modelling of emergency evacuation scenarios to guarantee safety during all events.


Compliance with Standards of Requirements

Ensuring the design complied with both local and international crowd management standards and requirements.


Mitigation Measures Proposals

Based on the findings of the crowd simulation model, several design changes were incorporated to optimise crowd flow and safety.
