Office Building - London - UK

Optimisation of the movement of employees in and out of the lobby of the office building. The primary goal was to assess the best configuration for the lobby, including the number and types of doors and the potential need for a wind lobby.

Demand Analysis

Estimation of the bi-directional pedestrian flows throughout the day, which informed the design process.

Pedestrian Micro-Simulation Modelling

Development of detailed 3D micro-simulation models to reflect the operation of the doors and the movement of people in various configurations.

Mitigation Measures Proposals

By comparing multiple options, provided recommendations aimed at optimising the lobby's operation, minimising delays, and reducing the impact of air flow from doors opening for temperature control.
